Betts, Toudouze Among Eight Players Signed to Practice Squad
INDIANAPOLIS – Josh Betts spent the past two seasons on the Colts' practice squad before being released just before the start of training camp.
Now, he's back at the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center.
Betts, a quarterback from Miami (Ohio) University who originally signed with the Colts as a rookie free agent shortly after the 2006 NFL Draft, was one of eight players signed this week to the team's practice squad, the club announced on Wednesday.
Michael Toudouze, an offensive tackle and a fifth-round selection in the 2006 NFL Draft, also signed to the practice squad. He played one game for the Colts last season.
The six other players signed to the practice squad:
Offensive tackle Tala Esera, defensive back Brandon Foster, wide receiver Sam Giguere, safety Jamie Silva, running back Chad Simpson and offensive tackle Dane Uperesa.
Toudouze, Esera, Foster, Giguere, Silva and Simpson spent training camp with the Colts. Uperesa, who played collegiately at the University of Hawaii, signed with the Bengals as a rookie free agent in 2007 and was released by Cincinnati August 30.
