The Indianapolis Colts today signed guard Atonio Mafi to the 53-man roster from the practice squad and waived linebacker Liam Anderson. The team also elevated guard Mark Glowinski and wide receiver Laquon Treadwell to the active roster from the practice squad for Sunday's game against the New England Patriots.
Mafi, 6-3, 330 pounds, was elevated to the active roster from the practice squad in Weeks 11 and 12 and played in each game. He was originally signed to the team's practice squad on August 29, 2024. Mafi participated in the Patriots' 2024 offseason program and training camp. As a rookie in 2023, he played in all 17 games (five starts at left guard) for New England. Mafi was originally selected by the Patriots in the fifth round (144th overall) of the 2023 NFL Draft out of UCLA. His name is pronounced AH-tonio MA-fee.
Anderson, 6-3, 226 pounds, was signed to the 53-man roster from the practice squad on November 16, 2024. He has played in three games this season. As a rookie in 2013, Anderson appeared in one game for the Colts and spent most of the season on the team's practice squad. He was originally signed by Indianapolis as an undrafted free agent on May 5, 2023. Collegiately, Anderson played in 53 career games (30 starts) at Holy Cross (2018-22) and compiled 231 tackles (148 solo), 37.5 tackles for loss, 14.5 sacks, 11 passes defensed, six interceptions (one returned for a touchdown), two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. He was a two-time First Team All-Patriot League choice (2021-22).
Glowinski, 6-4, 310 pounds, was signed to the team's practice squad on November 21, 2024. He rejoined Indianapolis after spending five seasons (2017-21) with the team. Glowinski has played in 124 career games (96 starts) in his time with the New York Giants (2022-23), Colts and Seattle Seahawks (2015-17). He has started seven postseason contests. Glowinski was originally selected by the Seahawks in the fourth round (134th overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft out of West Virginia.
Treadwell, 6-2, 215 pounds, was elevated in Week 10 and played against the Buffalo Bills. He has spent the entire season on the team's practice squad since originally signing with Indianapolis as a free agent on July 24, 2024. Treadwell has played in 82 career games (24 starts) in his time with the Colts (2024), Baltimore Ravens (2023), Seahawks (2022), Arizona Cardinals (2022), Patriots (2022), Jacksonville Jaguars (2021), Atlanta Falcons (2020) and Minnesota Vikings (2016-19). He has totaled 111 receptions for 1,242 yards (11.2 avg.) and five touchdowns. Treadwell has also appeared in four postseason contests. He was originally selected by the Vikings in the first round (23rd overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft out of Mississippi.
