The Colts on Saturday placed defensive tackle DeForest Buckner (neck), tight end Drew Ogletree (neck) and wide receiver Anthony Gould (foot) on injured reserve. They also activated wide receiver Ashton Dulin from injured reserve, signed defensive tackle Chris Wormley to the 53-man roster from the practice squad, and elevated center Jimmy Morrissey and guard Josh Sills to the active roster from the practice squad for Week 17 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Head coach Shane Steichen said on Friday that Buckner, who was just activated from injured reserve prior to the Colts' Week 16 game, re-aggravated his neck injury during the game and will undergo a procedure next week. Buckner was previously placed on injured reserve prior to Week 10, after initially sustaining his neck injury in Week 9, and missed five games.
In 10 games this season, Buckner has four sacks, 13 quarterback hits, nine tackles for a loss and 47 total tackles.
The Colts opened Dulin's 21-day window to be activated from injured reserve on Wednesday; he was placed on injured reserve with a hamstring injury in Week 13. In 10 games this season, Dulin has five receptions for 106 yards and three carries for 44 yards and has returned 10 kicks for over 20 yards each (with an average of 29.8 yards per return, and the longest being a 50-yard return). He has been a crucial part of the special teams unit and provides a veteran presence in the wide receiver room as well.
Ogletree was injured during the Colts' Week 16 game against the San Francisco 49ers. Gould sustained his injury in Week 14 and has not played or practiced since.
Wormley was signed to the Colts practice squad in November and has been elevated to the active roster Weeks 13, 14 and 15. In Week 13 against the Houston Texans, Wormley recorded a sack.
Morrissey has not appeared in a game this season. Sills was elevated to the active roster twice, in Weeks 4 and 16, and appeared in both games.
