My first official tour stop is over, and it was everything I imagined it could have been. I felt like a little kid again (granted, I feel like one often when I'm playing my Wii). But this time though, there were sno cones, inflatable games, and maybe the greatest mascot scooting around the tour stop. I also did my first official interviews with Freddie Keiaho, Bailey, a cheerleader, and one very excited Colts fan.
Maybe my favorite part of the tour stop was the jams coming from the Colts In Motion traveling museum, in which Brian and Pat were in charge. At one point, Whitney Houston's "How Will I Know" was playing followed up by the theme song of Free Willy. I didn't think it could get much better than that until I looked over at the Kids Club Gazebo and saw Alison doing some 80's jazzercise to the music.Â
However, the best part of the night came much after the tour had ended.  All the interns were on the way back to the Colts Complex when Pat noticed that our vehicle needed gas. So we pulled into the gas station and Pat went inside to pay. He came back out and prepared to pump the gas, only one critical thing was missing, the button/lever to pop open the gas tank. After Pat had searched for a minute, I decided to join the search of the missing button. After a little while longer of searching and too embarrassed to call anyone for help, we decided it was time to pull out the owners' manual. However, when I opened the glove compartment, no dice, the owners manual was no where to be found.  Thankfully, we then searched the center console and found the owners manual. After flipping to the right, page we finally found out how to open the gas cover. Are you ready for the trickiest way to open a gas cover???? All you have to do is press the cover and it will pop open. There was no secret button, no lever to pull up on, simple pressure on the gas cover and there it goes.Â
So there you have it, my first experiences out on the Make It Personal Tour. I hope you enjoyed them, and I hope you come out to Meijer in Indianapolis on Southport Road from 4-6 PM on Thursday (5/22)!!
And like always, feel free to email me at MIP@colts.nfl.net if you have any questions, comments or fan mail.
Go Colts!!
P.S. In case the only way you get your news is through my blog…Indianapolis was awarded Super Bowl XLVI to be played in Lucas Oil Stadium in 2012. Congratulations Indiana!
