Colts quarterback Daniel Jones, who was listed as limited with a calf injury for Thursday's practice, will play on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs, head coach Shane Steichen said Friday.
Jones felt some discomfort during practice and "took a few reps off," Steichen said. Upon further evaluation, the Colts discovered Jones' issue was with his fibula. Steichen said Jones was a full participant in Friday's practice.
"He'll be ready to go for Sunday," Steichen said.
The Colts are not planning to elevate practice squad quarterback Brett Rypien to their active roster for Sunday's game against the Chiefs, Steichen said. Jones and Riley Leonard will be the Colts' available quarterbacks, as has been the case since Anthony Richardson Sr. was placed on injured reserve following a freak accident that led to him sustaining a fractured orbital bone in October.
