Earlier this month, Colts vice president of football communications Matt Conti was honored by the Indiana Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association as its 2026 Bob Williams Helping Hand Award recipient.
The Indiana Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association, which was founded in 1946, began honoring Indiana-based sports information directors and media relations staffers with the Bob Williams Helping Hand Award in 2002. Those who receive the honor are selected for their work assisting local media in their coverage of events or teams, and anyone who does so at the high school, college or pro level in Indiana is eligible for the award.
Conti joined the Colts' communications staff in 2011, and for the last decade and a half has assisted local and national media with access and storytelling requests regarding Colts players, coaches and staff members.
Conti and the Colts' communications staff previously won the 2020 Pete Rozelle Award, an annual honor given by the Pro Football Writers Association to a club public relations staff that "consistently strives for excellence in its dealings and relationships with the media."
