Colts Sign Safety Earl Wolff IV

The Indianapolis Colts on Monday announced on Monday the signing of free agent safety Earl Wolff IV.

The Indianapolis Colts today signed free agent safety Earl Wolff IV.

Wolff IV, 5-11, 206 pounds, most recently spent time with the Washington Redskins this offseason before being waived on August 3. He has played in 18 career games (seven starts) and totaled 49 tackles (41 solo), one interception and six passes defensed. Wolff IV was originally selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the fifth round (136th overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft out of North Carolina State.

In 2016, Wolff IV spent the offseason and training camp with the Jacksonville Jaguars before being waived on September 7. He spent the final two weeks of the 2015 regular season on the Jaguars' practice squad. In 2014, Wolff IV appeared in seven games (one start) for the Eagles and registered six tackles (five solo) and one pass defensed. As a rookie in 2013, he saw action in 11 games (six starts) for Philadelphia and compiled 43 tackles (36 solo), one interception and five passes defensed.
