Roster Move: Colts Sign ILB Darnell Sankey To Reserve/Future Contract

The Indianapolis Colts on Thursday signed inside linebacker Darnell Sankey to a Reserve/Future contract.

The Indianapolis Colts today signed inside linebacker Darnell Sankey to a reserve/future contract.

Sankey, 6-2, 250 pounds, spent the last five weeks of the 2017 regular season on the Baltimore Ravens practice squad. He saw action in six games with the Colts in 2017 and also spent time on the team's practice squad. Sankey originally signed with Indianapolis as a free agent on August 23, 2017. As a rookie in 2016, he spent time on the practice squads of the Kansas City Chiefs and Oakland Raiders.

Collegiately, Sankey played in 43 games at Sacramento State and compiled with 330 tackles (124 solo), 27.5 tackles for loss, 12.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, one interception and nine passes defensed. His 330 tackles ranked fourth in school history.
