INDIANAPOLIS – It's the offseason, so Colts.com takes a look at some tweets from Colts players to get an idea of what they are up to during their down time.
The Chargers are officially moving to Los Angeles. That means the Colts could be playing road games in L.A. each of the next three seasons. The Colts will play the Rams in L.A. (at the Memorial Coliseum) in 2017. In 2019, they will play the Chargers on the road, which should be in the new Inglewood Stadium that is being built by the Rams (the Chargers would be a tenant there). The 2018 season could also see the Colts out in L.A. In 2018, the Colts play a road game against an AFC West team, which will be determined by the team that finishes in the same spot as the Colts within their respective divisions next season. The Colts have not played a game in Los Angeles since 1991.
Bragging rights have arrived to T.J. Green and Dwayne Allen. The two former Clemson Tigers were quite happy in watching one of the greatest National Title games college football has ever seen. A year ago Green was falling just short of a national championship. This past Monday he watched his teammates exact revenge and finish the job over Alabama.
Jack Mewhort was the lead troll of Ryan Kelly on Monday night. The good nature ribbing was pretty funny to follow along. In all seriousness, this offseason is going to be a world of difference for Kelly. Last year, Kelly was playing football in January and then trained specifically for Combine-like drills through the Combine and his Pro Day. This should be a welcomed time of rest for Kelly before he can pick up football specific training prior to OTAs.
