The Colts Make Their Fifth Fan Fest Stop in La Porte
La Porte – This was not the first time the Indianapolis Colts came to La Porte, and it will certainly not be the last. La Porte Mayor Kathy Chroback presented the Indianapolis Colts with a key to the city at the fifth Fan Fest stop in La Porte at Kiwanis Field on Tuesday night.
"It is great being involved with the Colts organization. The enthusiasm for the Colts has grown a lot of the years, and it is great to be able to have the Colts come to La Porte for one of their Fan Fest sites," said Mayor Chroback.
La Porte is the smallest town that the Colts are going to be traveling to during their seven stop Fan Fest throughout the month of June, and La Porte had one of the larger turn outs of Colts fans.
Thousands of people showed up to welcome the Colts and Jon McLaughlin to La Porte. Among the thousands were siblings, Samantha, 8, David, 4, and Jonathan, 2 This trio of youngsters had the opportunity to meet and receive an autograph from Colts players Courtney Roby and Michael Toudouze as well as meet several Colts Cheerleaders.
"My favorite part was going down the big slide." said David about the mountain slide, which is part of the Colts City inflatables. Older sister Samantha's favorite part was being able to beat her brothers at the Colts Quaterback Challenge.
After the siblings were tired out from playing on the Colts City infaltables and throwing footballs, they sat down to enjoy the Jon McLaughlin concert with their mom.
"This was just great for the kids. They never have seen a pro football player in person, so I know they were very excited." said Mrs. Bolin.
You can join your fellow Colts fans and follow the Colts to the next Fan Fest tour stop in Fort Wayne on Thursday, June 19, starting at 4:00PM at Headwaters Park.
