Future General Manager Robert Mathis?

Intro: Each week, will compile the best Tweets/Instagrams from players throughout the week. Here’s a look at this week’s posts.

INDIANAPOLIS – It's the offseason, so takes a look at some tweets from Colts players to get an idea of what they are up to during their down time.

My whole body hurts just watching this video. I'm imagining me face planting in the middle of those pads, or maybe not even getting up out of the chair. Davis enters 2017 as the only definite returning secondary starter for the Colts. Injury questions and possible position changes are littered throughout the defensive backfield. The Colts need Davis back to his 2014 Pro Bowl-self next season. The 2017 campaign is a contract year for Davis.

Dwayne Allen is down under in the early part of the offseason. Allen visited with the Cronulla Sharks, a rugby team playing in the National Rugby League (the top Australian Rugby League). Allen heads into 2017 with his fellow tight ends potentially entering free agency: Jack Doyle (unrestricted) and Mo Alie-Cox (restricted).

Well, this tweet from Mathis indicates he might want to get into the personnel world of the NFL one day. During the final week of the season and in the days after, Mathis did not hesitate when talking about his hope to stick around the game of football. Is that in a coaching or scouting role? Whenever Mathis decides to pursue that career path, he clearly has some high aspirations of possibly becoming an NFL GM.
