The Colts on Saturday ruled out cornerback Sauce Gardner (calf) and wide receiver Anthony Gould (foot) for their Week 16 game against the San Francisco 49ers at Lucas Oil Stadium, head coach Shane Steichen said.
Defensive tackle DeForest Buckner (neck), who was a full participant in the team's Thursday and Friday practices, is expected to be activated from injured reserve, Steichen said.
"Buck should be ready to roll," Steichen said Saturday.
Gardner will miss his third consecutive game with the calf injured his sustained early in the first quarter of the Colts' Week 13 loss to the Houston Texans.
Gould, who sustained a foot injury in the Colts' Week 14 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, will miss his second consecutive game. As wide receiver Ashton Dulin remains on injured reserve, the Colts will once again be without their primary kick returners; in Week 15, Ameer Abdullah and Coleman Owen took over those duties, as well as the punt return duties.
Bernhard Raimann (elbow) did not practice on Thursday or Friday but was a participant on Saturday.
Earlier this week, the Colts opened the 21-day practice windows for Anthony Richardson Sr. (eye) and safety Daniel Scott (knee) to be activated from injured reserve. Richardson was a limited participant during practice this week and Scott was a full participant; Steichen said Richardson would not be available for Monday's game against the 49ers, but both players can be activated from injured reserve at any point over the next three weeks.
Check back later for Saturday's full injury report.
