ANDERSON – The Colts have released their 2015 depth chart.

This comes with the Colts preseason opener in Philadelphia just a handful of days away. The Colts and Eagles will meet on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. EST with the game airing on NFL Network.

Any depth chart this time of year shouldn't be written in sharpie with the regular season opener still more than a month away.

With that, here are some takeaways from the depth chart release based on what we've seen at Training Camp in Anderson:

  • We continue to see the same starting offensive line as we've seen in Anderson: LT-Anthony Castonzo, LG-Lance Louis, C-Khaled Holmes, RG-Todd Herremans and RT-Jack Mewhort.
  • The running back depth could eventually change with rookie Josh Robinson back practicing and the potential of Vick Ballard returning soon (listed at day-to-day right now).
  • Rookie inside linebacker Amarlo Herrera is listed on the second-team defense. Herrera hasn't received that much offseason attention but could be crucial to depth at that spot in 2015.
  • Boom Herron is your starting kick returner, but that's a position I could see fluctuating based off who makes the final roster.
