The Colts on Tuesday placed quarterback Daniel Jones and cornerback Chris Lammons on injured reserve.

Jones sustained a season-ending torn Achilles' in the Colts' Week 14 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Head coach Shane Steichen said Monday Jones would undergo surgery "within the week."

Jones' 2025 season came to an end with the 28-year-old having completed 68 percent of his passes for 3,101 yards with 19 touchdowns, eight interceptions, a passer rating of 100.2 and five rushing touchdowns. Jones' completion percentage and passer rating both stand as career bests along with his 8.1 yards per pass attempt, 238.5 yards per game and 5.4 percent sack rate.

Lammons exited the Colts' Week 14 game against the Jaguars with a foot injury and did not return.

The Colts additionally on Tuesday signed cornerback Cameron Mitchell to the 53-man roster from the practice squad and signed cornerback Troy Pride Jr. to the practice squad. Mitchell has appeared in four games for the Colts this season, totaling five tackles and one tackle for a loss.
