Jonathan Taylor made history on Sunday on an international stage.

The running back, who has already cemented himself as one of the best to ever wear a Colts uniform, secured yet another accolade on Sunday as he rushed for two touchdowns against the Atlanta Falcons at Olympic Stadium in Berlin.

With his remarkable performance, Taylor now holds the Colts franchise record for rushing touchdowns with 65.

Taylor's record-setting touchdown was also the longest touchdown run of his career, at 83 yards.

Over the last few weeks, Taylor has been inching closer and closer to the record. In the Colts' Week 8 game against the Tennessee Titans, he recorded two rushing touchdowns to tie seven-time Pro Bowler and Pro Football Hall of Famer Lenny Moore with 63 rushing touchdowns; the final name Taylor had to pass was Edgerrin James, who held the record with 64.

Scoring multiple touchdowns in a game has not been a difficult task for Taylor this season, as he has already had four games with three total touchdowns through the first eight weeks. Sunday's performance would have been relatively ordinary for the elite running back, if not for the magnitude of that second touchdown.

Through the first nine weeks of the season, Taylor has recorded a league-leading 895 rushing yards and 14 total touchdowns (12 rushing, two receiving); he is on pace to match, if not surpass, his previous season-highs of 1,811 rushing yards and 20 total touchdowns, both set in 2021. He is averaging 5.7 yards per carry, leads the league with 23 explosive runs and, entering Week 10, is one of two players in the NFL to have over 850 rushing yards and is the only player in the league with double-digit touchdowns.
