Colts announce jersey numbers for free agent signings

Jim Irsay will become the 20th member of the Colts Ring of Honor on Sept. 7, when the Colts open the 2025 season against the Miami Dolphins at Lucas Oil Stadium. 

Alex Tanney was the New York Giants' third quarterback in 2019, Daniel Jones' rookie season. In 2025, Jones and Tanney – now the Colts' passing game coordinator – are re-united in Indianapolis. 

Irsay-Gordon began wearing a headset years ago to listen to coaches' communications during games not as a means to micromanage, but as a way to further understand the football team she and her sisters, Casey Foyt and Kalen Jackson, now own. 

The Colts announced the changes on Wednesday.

Richardson will miss the remainder of the Colts' offseason program due to aggravation in the AC joint of his right (throwing) shoulder. 

The Colts on Monday announced details on the transition of team ownership from late Owner & CEO Jim Irsay to his daughters, Carlie Irsay-Gordon, Casey Foyt and Kalen Jackson. 

Head coach Shane Steichen said Thursday Richardson is dealing with a shoulder injury and is expected back at some point during training camp.

While the Colts moved from Baltimore to Indianapolis in 1984, several players maintained a close relationship with Jim Irsay – who began working for the team as a ballboy in the 1970s and held several positions with the Colts shortly after graduating from SMU in 1982.
