INDIANAPOLIS – With the 2017 year rung in on Sunday afternoon, the Colts did their own ringing.

Bill Polian---the architect of the winningest decade in NFL history---was inducted into the Colts Ring of Honor.

From 1998-2011, Polian put together a run unseen before in the NFL.

The Colts won 115 games from 2000-09 (the most ever in a decade)

The 23 consecutive regular season wins (2008-09) are the most ever.

Polian's Colts got to the playoffs 11 times, won 8 division titles, appeared in 2 Super Bowls and captured Super Bowl XLI.

In 2015, Polian was enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, after building championship caliber teams in Buffalo and Carolina, too.

Here are some of the most important draft picks Polian made during his time in Indianapolis:

Peyton Manning (1998)

Edgerrin James (1999)

Reggie Wayne (2001)

Dwight Freeney (2002)

Dallas Clark (2003)

Robert Mathis (2004)

Bob Sanders (2004)
