INDIANAPOLIS —The Indianapolis Colts today signed free agent running back Tion Green and waived-injured running back Josh Ferguson. If Ferguson clears waivers, he will revert to the Colts Injured Reserve list.
Green, 6-0, 220 pounds, re-joins the Colts after originally signing with the team on August 14, 2018. He played in five games with the Detroit Lions as a rookie in 2017 and totaled 42 carries for 165 yards and two touchdowns. Green also caught two passes for 14 yards. Collegiately, he played in 46 games at the University of Cincinnati and finished with 445 carries for 2,072 yards and 19 touchdowns. Green also collected 47 receptions for 295 yards and returned nine kickoffs for 193 yards.
Ferguson, 5-10, 205 pounds, has played in 26 career games in two seasons (2016-17) with Indianapolis and has totaled 16 carries for 25 yards, 23 receptions for 152 yards, nine kickoff returns for 166 yards and one punt return for zero yards. He originally signed with the Colts as an undrafted free agent on May 2, 2016 out of Illinois.
