Roster Move: Colts Re-Sign TE Ross Travis

The Indianapolis Colts today announced they have re-signed tight end Ross Travis, who was set to become a restricted free agent when the new league year began March 13.

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Colts today signed tight end Ross Travis to a one-year contract extension.

Travis, 6-6, 248 pounds, was originally claimed by the Colts off waivers (from Kansas City) on November 28, 2017. He has played in 21 career games (six starts) and has caught 10 passes for 91 yards in his time with the Colts (2017-18) and Chiefs (2015-17).

In 2018, Travis spent the entire season on the team's Injured Reserve list. He played in four games for Indianapolis in 2017 and caught two passes for 33 yards. Travis also appeared in 11 games (three starts) with Kansas City in 2017 and tallied five receptions for 43 yards. In 2016, he appeared in six games (three starts) and caught three passes for 15 yards. As a rookie in 2015, Travis spent time on the Chiefs practice squad.
