Colts tight end Tyler Warren was named the Week 2 NFL Rookie of the Week, the league announced Thursday.
Warren caught four passes for 79 yards in the Colts' 29-28 win over the Denver Broncos last weekend, highlighted by a 42-yard reception – which began with Warren lined up in the backfield as a fullback.
Over his first two games in the NFL, Warren has 11 receptions on 16 targets for 155 yards. Warren's 155 yards as the most for any Colts player in the first two games of his career in team history, topping T.Y. Hilton's 128 yards to begin his rookie year in 2012.
Warren, through two weeks, leads all NFL tight ends in yards and is ahead of the Las Vegas Raiders' Brock Bowers (141), the Green Bay Packers' Tucker Kraft (140) and the Arizona Cardinals' Trey McBride (139).
