Indianapolis - The Indianapolis Colts today activated linebacker Jaylon Carlies from the Injured Reserve list. The team also elevated kicker Blake Grupe and defensive tackle Chris Wormley to the active roster from the practice squad for Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Carlies, 6-3, 227 pounds, has spent the entire season on the team's practice squad. As a rookie in 2024, he played in 10 games (six starts) and compiled 36 tackles (24 solo), 2.0 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack and one pass defensed. Carlies was selected by Indianapolis in the fifth round (151st overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft out of Missouri. His last name is pronounced KARR-lyze.
Grupe, 5-7, 156 pounds, was signed to the team's practice squad on December 3, 2025. He played in 45 career games in three seasons (2023-25) with the New Orleans Saints and converted 75-of-94 field goals and 86-of-88 extra points for 311 total points. Grupe was originally signed by the Saints as an undrafted free agent on May 1, 2023, out of Notre Dame. His last name is pronounced GROUP-ee.
Wormley, 6-5, 300 pounds, was elevated in Week 13 vs. Houston and registered two solo tackles, 1.0 tackle for loss and 1.0 sack. He was originally signed to the team's practice squad on November 18, 2025. Wormley has played in 88 career games (31 starts) in his time with the Colts (2025), Baltimore Ravens (2024, 2017-19), Carolina Panthers (2023) and Pittsburgh Steelers (2020-22). He has compiled 152 tackles (84 solo), 15.0 tackles for loss, 12.0 sacks, 10 passes defensed, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. Wormley has appeared in four postseason contests (two starts) and has registered seven tackles (six solo) and 1.0 tackle for loss. He was originally selected by the Ravens in the third round (74th overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft out of Michigan.
