The Colts on Monday acquired cornerback Mekhi Blackmon in a trade with the Minnesota Vikings in exchange for their 2026 sixth-round draft pick.
Blackmon was a third-round pick (No. 102 overall) of the Vikings in 2023 and appeared in 15 games (three starts) as a rookie. Blackmon had seven pass break-ups and one interception with 41 tackles, three tackles for a loss and one fumble recovery in 2023. He held opposing quarterbacks to a passer rating of 87.8 on 44 targets, per Pro Football Focus.
The 5-foot-11, 178 pound Blackmon earned a 71.8 Pro Football Focus coverage grade in 2023, the third-highest for a rookie that season (minimum 200 coverage snaps).
Blackmon missed the entire 2024 season due to a torn ACL sustained on the first day of Vikings training camp last July. He played in all three of the Vikings' preseason contests in 2025, totaling 117 snaps.
The Colts still hold picks in the first, second, third, fourth, fifth and seventh rounds in the 2026 NFL Draft.
