Roster Moves: Colts Sign LB Brandon Chubb

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Colts today signed free agent linebacker Brandon Chubb and waived running back Tion Green.

Chubb, 6-1, 245 pounds, was waived by the Tennessee Titans on August 21, 2018. He spent time with the Titans during training camp and was with the Detroit Lions during the 2018 offseason. Chubb spent the 2017 season on the Lions’ Injured Reserve list. As a rookie in 2016, he spent time on the practice squads of San Francisco, Detroit and the Los Angeles Rams. Chubb originally signed with the Rams as an undrafted free agent on May 6, 2016.

Collegiately, Chubb started 36-of-48 games at Wake Forest and finished with 326 tackles (176 solo), 19.0 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, seven passes defensed, one interception (returned for a touchdown), two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

Green, 6-0, 220 pounds, was most recently signed by Indianapolis on August 22, 2018. As a rookie in 2017, he played in five games with the Detroit Lions and totaled 42 carries for 165 yards and two touchdowns. Green also caught two passes for 14 yards.
