JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Marlon Mack is good to go.
The Indianapolis Colts have released their inactives prior to today's Week 13 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars at TIAA Bank Stadium, and Mack, the team's top running back, is not among the seven players on that list.
That would indicate Mack has cleared the league's concussion protocol and should be good to go to play in today's game.
The second-year running back suffered a concussion in the fourth quarter of last week's victory over the Miami Dolphins, and head coach Frank Reich confirmed the next day that Mack had entered the league's concussion protocol.
While Mack missed practice on Wednesday, he was a full participant both on Thursday and Friday, and Reich told reporters Friday that Mack had just one more box to check when it came to the league's concussion protocol, which was gaining clearance from an independent neurologist.
Mack has been a major weapon for the Colts' offense since missing four of the team's first five games with a hamstring injury. The second-year back has accumulated 109 carries for 556 yards — for a robust 5.1 yards-per-carry average — and has four touchdowns. He's also been a factor through the air, catching 11 passes for 74 yards and another score.
Mack does face a challenge today in a Jaguars defense that held him to 12 carries for 29 yards just three weeks ago in Indianapolis' 27-24 Week 10 victory. To counter that, the Colts will look to continuing leaning on their young, talented core of running backs, as Mack and rookies Nyheim Hines and Jordan Wilkins each continue to bring their various talents to the position.
Those on the Colts' inactives list today include:
• TE Mo Alie-Cox
• T/G Le'Raven Clark
• C Ryan Kelly
• S Corey Moore
• DT Hassan Ridgeway
• TE Clive Walford
• RB Jonathan Williams
Evan Boehm is expected to make his second straight start at center.
