Making Changes: Several Colts Players Modifying Positions, Builds

INDIANAPOLIS — New coaching staff. New offense. New defense. New training approach.

It’s been an offseason of change for the Indianapolis Colts.

It all started in February with the hiring of Frank Reich as the team’s head coach, and it has snowballed from there.

Reich and new offensive coordinator Nick Sirianni have been working on implementing a quick-strike, multi-faceted offensive attack. On the defensive side of the ball, new coordinator Matt Eberflus is in the midst of transitioning the Colts back to a 4-3 base scheme, which will take advantage of speed and overall simplicity. And, off the field, the hiring of new Director of Sports Performance Rusty Jones — matched with the latest in fitness training methods and analytics — has signified a major change in the way the players approach their conditioning work and nutrition.

All told, these aren’t endeavors that were ever expected to produce results overnight. But over the course of the past few months, the players on the Colts’ 90-man offseason roster have all been affected by the changes one way or another.

Some have changed positions. Some have either added or dropped weight, in accordance with their individual plans. Some have done both.

So what have been some of the more notable changes to the Colts players?
