The Indianapolis Colts will host the New York Jets in its home opening contest of the 2015 regular season. Game time is set for 8:30 p.m. at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
The matchup will mark the 68th all-time meeting between the teams in the regular season, with the Colts holding a 40-27 advantage. It will mark the first time the two teams have squared off in the regular season since 2012.
Last week the Colts opened the 2015 regular on the road in Buffalo. The Bills got off to an early lead and finished with a 27-14 victory.
Quarterback Andrew Luck completed 26-of-49 passes for 243 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. He led Indianapolis on scoring drives of 65 and 80 yards that resulted in touchdown throws to wide receiver Donte Moncrief and tight end Dwayne Allen.
Defensively, inside linebacker Jerrell Freeman led the team with 12 tackles (five solo). Cornerback Vontae Davis was matched up with Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins for the majority of the game and held him to zero receptions.
During halftime of tonight's game, the Colts will enshrine former center Jeff Saturday into the team's Ring of Honor. Saturday will become the 12th member of the Colts Ring of Honor and the first inductee since running backs Eric Dickerson and Marshall Faulk in 2013.
Following Monday night's game, the Colts will travel to Tennessee for their first AFC South matchup of the 2015 season against the Titans.
