The Indianapolis Colts will travel to Dallas to face the Cowboys for their first road trip of the 2017 preseason. The game time is set for 7:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, Aug. 19 at AT&T Stadium.

The contest will mark the 10th all-time preseason meeting between the teams, with the Colts holding a 5-4 advantage. In their last preseason matchup, Indianapolis fell to Dallas, 23-10, on Aug. 9, 2007.

In their 2017 preseason opener, the Colts hosted the Detroit Lions and were defeated, 24-10.

During the 2017 offseason, Indianapolis took an aggressive approach to bolster the defensive side of the ball. Their efforts were rewarded quickly as newcomer outside linebacker John Simon intercepted the Lions on the fourth play from scrimmage.

Detroit scored the first points of the game on a touchdown midway through the first quarter. The Colts countered with a 42-yard field goal by kicker Adam Vinatieri in the second quarter.

The Lions would score 17 unanswered points to take a 24-3 lead with 9:55 left in the final frame.

Indianapolis quarterback Stephen Morris orchestrated a 14-play, 90- yard scoring drive that resulted in a one-yard rushing touchdown by running back Troymaine Pope at the end of regulation to bring the final score to 24-10.
