Colts, Emmis Communications Encourage Donations to the Red Cross

INDIANAPOLIS – Earlier this week, the National Football League (NFL) and its 32 teams joined with the NFL Players Association to pledge $1 million to the American Red Cross for Superstorm Sandy relief efforts. Today, Colts Owner and CEO Jim Irsay made an additional pledge to support the recovery and encourage fans to contribute to the cause.

Irsay will match online donations up to $1 per fan in attendance at Sunday's game versus the Miami Dolphins. Individuals wishing to have their contributions to the Red Cross matched through Irsay's contribution should click here to donate online.

In addition, the Colts radio partner Emmis Communications has pledged to use their four stations (1070 The Fan, WIBC, B105.7 and HANK FM) to raise awareness for the matching program and encourage online donations beginning today through Friday, November 9.

Sunday's game against the Dolphins is sold out. As a result, the matching donation is expected to exceed $65,000.
