The Indianapolis Colts today signed free agent guard Terran Vaughn and waived-injured outside linebacker Deiontrez Mount. If Mount clears waivers, he will revert to the Colts Injured Reserve List.

Vaughn, 6-3, 306 pounds, spent time on the Buffalo Bills practice squad in 2016. He participated in the Oakland Raiders' 2016 offseason program and training camp before being waived on August 29, 2016. Vaughn originally signed with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2016.

Collegiately, Vaughn started 38-of-46 career games at Stephen F. Austin primarily at the right guard position. He earned Honorable Mention All-Southland Conference recognition in 2014. As a senior in 2015, Vaughn started all 11 games at right guard and helped the Lumberjacks' offense average 427.9 yards per game and 28.7 points per game. He played in all 13 games in 2014 with 11 starts at right guard. Vaughn helped Stephen F. Austin register a school-record 5.2 yards per rush. In 2013, he appeared in all 12 games (nine starts) along the offensive line. Vaughn saw action in 10 games (seven starts) as a true freshman in 2012.

Mount, 6-5, 253 pounds, spent time on the Colts' active roster and practice squad last season. He has played in five career games and tallied one interception and one pass defensed in his time with the Colts (2016) and Tennessee Titans (2015). Mount was originally selected by the Titans in the sixth round (177th overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft.
