Colts Sign Eight Players To Reserve/Future Contracts

The Indianapolis Colts on Monday announced the signing of eight players to reserve/future contracts, each of whom spent time on the Colts practice squad during the 2017 season

The Indianapolis Colts today signed eight players to reserve/future contracts including: tight end Mo Alie-Cox, wide receiver Dres Anderson, defensive tackle Johnathan Calvin, wide receiver Kolby Listenbee, outside linebacker Arthur Miley, outside linebacker Josh Perry, quarterback Phillip Walker and guard Isaiah Williams. All eight players spent time on the Colts practice squad during the 2017 season.

Alie-Cox, 6-7, 250 pounds, spent the final 13 weeks of the 2017 season on Indianapolis' practice squad. He re-joined the Colts after spending time with the team during the 2017 offseason program and training camp. Alie-Cox was waived-injured by the team on August 5 and after clearing waivers was placed on the Colts Injured Reserve List. He reached an injury settlement with the team on August 10 and was removed from the team's Injured Reserve List. Alie-Cox originally signed with the Colts as an undrafted free agent on April 21, 2017. Collegiately, he was a four-year standout on the Virginia Commonwealth University basketball team. With the Rams, Alie-Cox started 103-of-142 career games and totaled 1,092 points, 663 rebounds, 87 steals, 112 assists and 255 blocks in 3,322 minutes.

Anderson, 6-2, 190 pounds, was signed to the Colts practice squad on November 13. He also spent time on the Washington Redskins practice squad in 2017. Anderson spent time on the Chicago Bears and San Francisco 49ers practice squads in 2016. As a rookie in 2015, he spent the entire season on the 49ers' Injured Reserve List. Anderson originally signed with San Francisco as an undrafted free agent on May 5, 2015. Collegiately, he played in 44 games (32 starts) at Utah and totaled 134 receptions for 2,077 yards and 17 touchdowns.

Calvin, 6-3, 266 pounds, had two stints (Weeks 2-3, 17) on Indianapolis' practice squad in 2017. He participated in the Green Bay Packers' 2017 offseason program and training camp before being waived during final cuts on September 2. Calvin originally signed with Green Bay as an undrafted free agent on May 5, 2017. Collegiately, he played in 26 games (11 starts) at Mississippi State (2015-16) after spending two years (2013-14) at Copiah-Lincoln Community College (Miss.). Calvin finished with 82 tackles (35 solo), 17.0 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery with the Bulldogs.

Listenbee, 6-0, 183 pounds, was signed to the Colts practice squad on December 13. He also spent time (Weeks 5-13) on the Miami Dolphins practice squad in 2017. As a rookie in 2016, Listenbee spent the entire season on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury List with the Buffalo Bills. He was originally selected by the Bills in the sixth round (192nd overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft out of TCU. Collegiately, Listenbee played in 40 games (22 starts) for the Horned Frogs and finished with 74 receptions for 1,432 yards and nine touchdowns. He was also a four-time All-America selection on the school's track team in the 100-meter dash.

Miley, 6-6, 270 pounds, was signed to Indianapolis' practice squad on December 19. He participated in the Carolina Panthers' 2017 training camp before being waived on September 1. Miley also spent time with the Miami Dolphins during the 2017 offseason before being waived on August 7 and claimed by the Panthers the next day. As a rookie in 2015, he spent the entire season on Carolina's Injured Reserve List. He originally signed with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent on May 4, 2015. Collegiately, Miley played in 47 games (36 starts) at Southern University from 2011-14 and compiled 172 tackles, 16.0 sacks, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and six passes defensed.

Perry, 6-4, 253 pounds, spent time on the Colts' active roster and practice squad in 2017. He was elevated to the team's 53-man roster from the practice squad on October 27 and saw action in two games before being waived on November 14. Perry was signed to the Colts practice squad on September 18. As a rookie in 2016, he played in 15 games (one start) with the San Diego Chargers and totaled 17 tackles (six solo), 1.0 tackle for loss, one forced fumble and nine special teams stops. Perry was originally selected by the Chargers in the fourth round (102nd overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft out of Ohio State.

Walker, 5-11, 216 pounds, spent the entire 2017 season on the Colts practice squad. He was originally signed by Indianapolis as an undrafted free agent on May 4, 2017. Walker participated in the team's 2017 offseason program and training camp before being waived during final cuts on September 2 and signed to the practice squad the next day. Collegiately, he started 47-of-49 games at Temple and finished as the school's all-time leader in passing attempts (1,410), completions (803), passing yards (10,273), touchdown passes (72) and total offense (11,100). Walker also totaled 342 carries for 763 yards and nine touchdowns.

Williams, 6-3, 306 pounds, spent time on Indianapolis' active roster and practice squad in 2017. He was most recently signed to the Colts practice squad on November 27. Williams was signed to Indianapolis' active roster from the Kansas City Chiefs practice squad on October 14 and was inactive for five games before being waived on November 25. He spent the first five weeks of the 2017 season on the Chiefs practice squad. Williams spent the 2016 season on the Washington Redskins practice squad. He was originally signed by the Redskins as an undrafted free agent on August 3, 2016. Collegiately, Williams appeared in 45 games at Akron and was named an All-MAC third-team selection as a senior in 2015 after helping the Zips average 164.2 rushing yards per game.
