Colts host Father Son Camp
INDIANAPOLIS – On Tuesday, May 13th, fathers and sons as well as mothers and daughters all gathered at the Colts practice facility for the Tenth annual Colts Father Son Camp.
This training camp, presented by Gatorade and Jonathan Byrd's Catering began with a special dinner provided by Jonathan Byrd's Catering and continued with a mini training camp where parents and kids participated in drills and activities with Colts Alumni Darvell Huffman, Geneo Riley, and Micah Moon, as well as Colts wide receiver, Roy Hall and defensive back, Matt Giordano.
The parents and kids began the camp portion by stretching together and were later released to their on-field drills. Attendees were taught to throw, catch and maneuver like their favorite Colts players.
Campers competed in the Quarterback Challenge, Sack the Quarterback, Goal Line Score, Obstacle Course, and Defensive Back Interception. The group got to compare themselves to Colts players as they participated in Combine Drills like the 20 yard shuttle and Broad Jump. At the conclusion of the night, names were drawn and two parent-child teams were chosen to go head-to-head in a tag team obstacle course challenge. Special prizes were awarded to the winners, and all 200 participants got to enjoy a variety of Colts giveaways and sponsor gifts. The night ended with pictures, autographs, and many smiling faces.
A reminder to all you Colts fans out there that missed our special summer session, the Colts will be hosting two more Father Son Camps in the fall; October 14th and November 25th. Stay tuned to www.colts.com/events for more
