INDIANAPOLIS – Last week, Michael Winterhalder received a phone call that he will never forget. It was United Way of Central Indiana telling him that his name had been drawn as the winner of an all-expense paid trip to Super Bowl XLV in Dallas, compliments of the Indianapolis Colts. For Michael, this trip is a dream come true, and one that he and his wife will remember for years to come.

This story began last September when the Indianapolis Colts announced that they would donate a trip to Super Bowl XLV to one lucky United Way of Central Indiana donor. To be eligible, individuals had to make a new contribution of $100 or increase last year's contribution to United Way of Central Indiana by $100 or more.

Winterhalder did just that by making a donation through his workplace campaign at Sallie Mae. Now, because of his generosity, he's headed to Dallas.

The Colts and United Way of Central Indiana would like to thank everyone who participated in this promotion. Through your generosity, more than $1 million was donated to United Way. These funds will help United Way provide vital human services for those in need and prepare students to be ready to learn when they enter school.
