"This is obviously a tough day considering my relationship with Bill and Chris Polian. The Colts have witnessed much success under their past leadership, which includes numerous division titles and a Super Bowl victory. Obviously, this season has been a tremendous disappointment for the entire organization and I felt it was time to make a change. I am completely committed to winning on a consistent basis and it's ultimately my responsibility to put this team in the best position to be successful for the city and our fans. I wish the best for both Bill and Chris and I'm fortunate to have had the opportunity to work closely with Bill during his Hall of Fame career."
