INDIANAPOLIS – For the seventh consecutive year, the Indianapolis Colts and Grange Insurance teamed up for the Student All Star Grant program. This program provides Indiana youth the opportunity to make a difference in their community and allows students ages 13 and under to apply for a grant up to $500 to complete a service project in their area. This year's submitted projects ranged from helping to beautify a local community space to creating emergency kits for shelters.

All applicants were required to partner with a registered 501(c)3 organization and to submit an application outlining what project they would like to do, the resources needed to complete the project and the support to make a positive difference in their communities.

This year, the Indianapolis Colts and Grange Insurance have selected four recipients to receive $500 towards their service project. The 2012 Student All Star recipients and their community partners are:

  • Brian Gottlieb, 11 (Carmel) - Humane Society of Hamilton County
  • Taylor Easter, 9 (Indianapolis) - Emerging Pearls Foundation, Inc.
  • Jenna Wilhite, 10 (Brownsburg) - Girl Scouts of Central Indiana
  • Bailey Young, 10 (New Palestine)- Holy Family Shelter
