INDIANAPOLIS – The Indianapolis Colts are proud to announce a resident of Indianapolis, Ind. as a 2010 honoree of the Anthem Angels program, presented by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield. Dedrick O. Murphy was recognized at the Colts home game on Sunday, December 19, for her dedication to the community.
Dedrick Murphy, nominated by Jennifer Murphy, has demonstrated a long-time commitment to serving needy youth in his community through his mentoring organization, Murphy Mentoring Group. As CEO and founder of Murphy Mentoring Group, Dedrick has impacted the youth of Indianapolis by creating an organization that helps youth to grow, develop, and reach their greatest potential through compassionate mentorship. MMG helps youth develop character, life and social skills, self-esteem, responsibility, leadership, and healthy decision-making skills.
In honor of Dedrick's exemplary service, he received four (4) VIP Club Seat Tickets to the Colts game, a feature story with his photo in the Colts gameday magazine (the Scout) and on www.colts.com, as well as recognition on-field recognition at the game.
"Anthem Angels…Honoring Everyday Heroes" was established by the Indianapolis Colts and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield to pay tribute to Hoosier "First Respondents" who have made exceptional strides to help others in their community.
