HOT OFF THE PRESS

Blackford snapped its 20-game losing streak with a 28-6 victory over Taylor.

Jennings County ended its 11-game losing skid with a 17-7 win over Madison.

New Prairie's Russ Radtke needs one more victory to move into a tie for third place all-time with Penn's Chris Geesman with 339 wins.

Michael Lindauer was 15-of-32 for 205 yards and four touchdowns in Evansville Memorial's 29-20 win over top-ranked (Class 3A) and defending sectional champion Gibson Southern. The Titans were without quarterback Isaac Sellers, who was out with a broken collarbone.

Columbus East benefitted from four turnovers and more than 100 yards rushing and two touchdowns each from Josh Major (128 yards) and Jamon Hogan (120 yards) in a 35-7 upset of No. 2 (Class 5A) New Palestine.

Ben Stevens became Danville's single-season touchdown reception leader in the Warriors' 53-12 win over Indianapolis Northwest. Stevens had seven catches for 190 yards and three scores to give him 13 for the season and broke head coach K.C. Woods' previous mark of 12 scores.

Ross Eckert's one-yard touchdown run in overtime helped Southridge claim a 37-34 win over Heritage Hills.

Colten Schuler's 87-yard kickoff return lifted Plymouth to a 26-23 win over Angola.
