INDIANAPOLIS —The Indianapolis Colts and Baltimore Ravens are set for their 2018 preseason Week 2 matchup on Monday night at Lucas Oil Stadium.

INDIANA/MARYLAND CONNECTIONS: 

  • Indianapolis Head Coach Frank Reich played collegiately at the University of Maryland from 1981-84.
  • Colts CB-Nate Hairston is a native of Washington, D.C. and attended Governor Thomas Johnson High School in Frederick, Md.
  • Indianapolis Offensive Quality Control Coach Gunnard Twyner coached at the high school level in Maryland at Seneca Valley High School (2003-05), Churchill High School (2005-06) and John F. Kennedy High School (2006-07).
  • Colts WR-Zach Pascal is a native of Upper Marlboro, Md. and attended Dr. Henry A. Wise (Md.) High School.
  • Ravens T-James Hurst hails from Plainfield, Ind.
  • Baltimore Head Coach John Harbaugh coached one season (1997) at Indiana University as the defensive backs coach/special teams coordinator.
  • Ravens Defensive Line Coach Joe Cullen also coached at Indiana for three seasons (2002-04).
  • Baltimore CB-Bennett Jackson (2010-13) and T-Ronnie Stanley (2012-15) played at Notre Dame.
  • Ravens WR-Willie Snead IV played at Ball State for three seasons (2011-13).

FORMER COLTS/RAVENS: 

  • Colts S-Ronald Martin (2017) and DE-John Simon (2013-14) both spent time with the Ravens. Simon was selected by Baltimore in the fourth round (129th overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft.
  • Ravens QB-Josh Woodrum spent the 2016 offseason with the Colts.

  • Colts Vice President of Player Personnel Rex Hogan worked with Ravens Secondary Coach Chris Hewitt at Notre Dame in 2003.
  • Hogan also worked at Utah when Ravens S-Eric Weddle played there in 2003.
  • Indianapolis Offensive Quality Control Coach Gunnard Twyner coached at Dodge City Community College when Baltimore RB-Mark Thompson played there in 2014-15.
  • Colts CB-Quincy Wilson and Thompson were at Florida together in 2016.
  • Indianapolis QB-Andrew Luck played at Stanford when Baltimore Assistant Head Coach/Tight Ends Coach Greg Roman coached there from 2009-2010.
  • Colts LB-Matthew Adams played with Ravens OLB-Tyus Bowser at Houston from 2014-16.

  • Dodds was with the Seahawks when Ravens RB-Alex Collins and DB-Stanley Jean-Bapiste played there in 2016.
  • Colts General Manager Chris Ballard and Vice President of Player Personnel Rex Hogan worked for the Chicago Bears when Ravens Assistant Offensive Line Coach Richard Angulo played there in 2006.
  • Dodds worked with Baltimore Assistant Special Teams Coach Chris Horton for the Seattle Seahawks in 2013. Indianapolis RB-Christine Michael and RB-Robert Turbin played there as well in 2013.
  • Rathman worked with Baltimore Offensive Coordinator Marty Mornhinweg for the San Francisco 49ers from 1997-2000.

  • Indianapolis Head Coach Frank Reich played for the Carolina Panthers in 1995 when Roman coached there.
