INDIANAPOLIS —The Indianapolis Colts and Baltimore Ravens are set for their 2018 preseason Week 2 matchup on Monday night at Lucas Oil Stadium.

  • Indianapolis Head Coach Frank Reich played collegiately at the University of Maryland from 1981-84.
  • Colts CB-Nate Hairston is a native of Washington, D.C. and attended Governor Thomas Johnson High School in Frederick, Md.
  • Indianapolis Offensive Quality Control Coach Gunnard Twyner coached at the high school level in Maryland at Seneca Valley High School (2003-05), Churchill High School (2005-06) and John F. Kennedy High School (2006-07).
  • Colts WR-Zach Pascal is a native of Upper Marlboro, Md. and attended Dr. Henry A. Wise (Md.) High School.
  • Ravens T-James Hurst hails from Plainfield, Ind.
  • Baltimore Head Coach John Harbaugh coached one season (1997) at Indiana University as the defensive backs coach/special teams coordinator.
  • Ravens Defensive Line Coach Joe Cullen also coached at Indiana for three seasons (2002-04).
  • Baltimore CB-Bennett Jackson (2010-13) and T-Ronnie Stanley (2012-15) played at Notre Dame.
  • Ravens WR-Willie Snead IV played at Ball State for three seasons (2011-13).


  • Colts S-Ronald Martin (2017) and DE-John Simon (2013-14) both spent time with the Ravens. Simon was selected by Baltimore in the fourth round (129th overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft.
  • Ravens QB-Josh Woodrum spent the 2016 offseason with the Colts.


  • Colts Vice President of Player Personnel Rex Hogan worked with Ravens Secondary Coach Chris Hewitt at Notre Dame in 2003.
  • Hogan also worked at Utah when Ravens S-Eric Weddle played there in 2003.
  • Indianapolis Offensive Quality Control Coach Gunnard Twyner coached at Dodge City Community College when Baltimore RB-Mark Thompson played there in 2014-15.
  • Colts CB-Quincy Wilson and Thompson were at Florida together in 2016.
  • Indianapolis QB-Andrew Luck played at Stanford when Baltimore Assistant Head Coach/Tight Ends Coach Greg Roman coached there from 2009-2010.
  • Colts LB-Matthew Adams played with Ravens OLB-Tyus Bowser at Houston from 2014-16.
  • Indianapolis DT/DE-Denico Autry played with Baltimore OLB-Za'Darius Smith in 2011 at East Mississippi Community College.
  • Colts K-Michael Badgley (2014-17) and QB-Brad Kaaya (2014-16) were teammates with Ravens RB-Gus Edwards (2014-16) at Miami (FL). TE-Erik Swoope was playing basketball at Miami in 2013-14.
  • Edwards then transferred to Rutgers where he was teammates with current Colts DE-Kemoko Turay (2017). Turay also played with Ravens WR-Janarion Grant at Rutgers from 2013-17.
  • Indianapolis C-Deyshawn Bond (2013-16) and T-Tyreek Burwell (2010-14) played at Cincinnati with Baltimore WR-Chris Moore (2011-15).
  • Indianapolis T-Nick Callender and Baltimore LS-Trent Sieg were teammates at Colorado State for four seasons (2013-16).
  • Colts CB-Lashard Durr and Ravens RB-De'Lance Turner played the 2014 season together at Copiah-Lincoln Community College.
  • Indianapolis TE-Eric Ebron and Baltimore G/T-James Hurst went to North Carolina together from 2011-13.
  • Colts S-Matthias Farley (2011-15) and G/C-Quenton Nelson (2014-17) played at Notre Dame with Ravens T-Ronnie Stanley (2012-15). Farley also teamed up with Ravens CB-Ben Jackson (2010-13) at Notre Dame.
  •  Indianapolis S-Clayton Geathers was teammates with Baltimore WR-Breshad Perriman at Central Florida for three seasons (2012-14).
  • Colts WR-Ryan Grant and Ravens DT-Michael Pierce both played at Tulane from 2011-12.
  • Indianapolis T/G-Joe Haeg and Baltimore LB-Chris Board were teammates at North Dakota State from 2013-15.
  • Colts CB-Nate Hairston (2012-16) and QB-Phillip Walker (2013-16) played with Ravens CB-Tavon Young (2012-15) at Temple.
  • Indianapolis DE-Anthony Johnson (2011-13), S-Ronald Martin (2011-14) and WR-James Wright (2010-13) all played with Baltimore DE-Christian LaCouture (2013-17) at LSU.
  • Colts C-Ryan Kelly (2011-15) played with Ravens CB-Anthony Averett (2013-15), C-Bradley Bozeman (2013-15), LB-C.J. Mosley (2010-13), LB-Tim Williams (2013-16) and CB-Marlon Humphrey (2014-16) at Alabama.
  • Indianapolis DT-Tomasi Laulile (2013-16) played with Baltimore DE-Bronson Kaufusi (2012-15) and DB-Kai Nacua (2013-16) at BYU.
  • Colts LB-Darius Leonard and Ravens G-Justin Evans were teammates at South Carolina State from 2015-17.
  • Indianapolis LB-Skai Moore and Baltimore TE-Hayden Hurst played together at South Carolina from 2015-17.
  • Colts DT-Hassan Ridgeway and Ravens S-DeShon Elliott crossed paths at Texas in 2015.
  • Indianapolis DE-John Simon and Baltimore WR-DeVier Posey played together at Ohio State from 2009-2011.
  • Colts C/G-Matt Slauson and Ravens P-Sam Koch were teammates for two seasons (2005-06) at Nebraska.

  • Indianapolis Defensive Backs/Cornerbacks Coach Jonathan Gannon worked with Baltimore Special Teams Coordinator/Associate Head Coach Jerry Rosburg with the Atlanta Falcons in 2007.
  • Colts Assistant General Manager Ed Dodds (2006) and Running Backs Coach Tom Rathman (2007-08) worked with Ravens Defensive Coordinator Don Martindale (2006-08) with the Oakland Raiders.
  • Dodds was with the Seahawks when Ravens RB-Alex Collins and DB-Stanley Jean-Bapiste played there in 2016.
  • Colts General Manager Chris Ballard and Vice President of Player Personnel Rex Hogan worked for the Chicago Bears when Ravens Assistant Offensive Line Coach Richard Angulo played there in 2006.
  • Dodds worked with Baltimore Assistant Special Teams Coach Chris Horton for the Seattle Seahawks in 2013. Indianapolis RB-Christine Michael and RB-Robert Turbin played there as well in 2013.
  • Rathman worked with Baltimore Offensive Coordinator Marty Mornhinweg for the San Francisco 49ers from 1997-2000.
  • Rathman (2009-2016) also worked with Ravens Assistant Head Coach/Tight Ends Coach Greg Roman (2011-14) and Wide Receivers Coach Bobby Engram (2011) with the 49ers. Colts Special Teams Coordinator Bubba Ventrone also played there from 2013-14.
  • Colts Assistant Offensive Line Coach Bobby Johnson (2015-17) and Rathman (2009-16) coached Ravens WR-Michael Crabtree (2009-14) in San Francisco. Ventrone played for the 49ers from 2013-14.
  • Indianapolis Head Coach Frank Reich played for the Carolina Panthers in 1995 when Roman coached there.
  • Reich and Colts Offensive Coordinator Nick Sirianni worked with Ravens Offensive Line Coach Joe D'Alessandris for the Chargers from 2013-15. Indianapolis T-Tyrell Burwell (2015-16) and Baltimore S-Eric Weddle (2007-2015) played there as well.
  • Reich (2013-15), Sirianni (2013-17) and Offensive Line Coach Dave DeGuglielmo (2016) coached for the Chargers when Weddle (2007-2015) played there.
  • Colts Defensive Line Coach Mike Phair (2013) and Hogan (2013-14) worked with Ravens Offensive Assistant/Tight Ends Coach Andy Bischoff (2014-15) with the Chicago Bears. Indianapolis C/G-Matt Slauson played there as well from 2013-15.
  • Indianapolis Linebackers Coach Dave Borgonzi and Baltimore Defensive Line Coach Joe Cullen worked together in Tampa Bay from 2014-15. Colts LB-Jeremiah George also played there in 2015.
  • Johnson worked with Cullen in Jacksonville in 2012.
  • Colts DE-Jabaal Sheard crossed paths with Cullen in Cleveland in 2013.
  • Cullen (2014-15) crossed paths with George (2015) in Tampa Bay.
  • Johnson and Indianapolis Wide Receivers Coach Kevin Patullo worked with D'Alessandris in Buffalo from 2010-11.
  • Patullo (2008) and Sirianni (2009) worked with D'Alessandris (2008-09) in Kansas City.
  • Colts LB-Tyrell Adams (2017), DT/DE- Denico Autry (2015-17) and WR-K.J. Brent (2016-17) played with Ravens WR-Michael Crabtree (2015-17) in Oakland.
  • Adams also played with Ravens QB-Josh Woodrum in Buffalo during the 2017 season.
  • Brent (2017), G-Nick Callender (2016), G-Mark Glowinski (2016-17), RB-Christine Michael (2016) and WR-Kasen Williams (2016) all played with Baltimore RB-Alex Collins (2016-17) and CB-Stanley Jean-Baptiste (2016) in Seattle.
  • Indianapolis CB-Pierre Desir, DE-Jabaal Sheard and RB-Robert Turbin played with Ravens WR/TE-Vince Mayle in the 2015 offseason for the Browns. Desir and Sheard also played with Baltimore WR-Willie Snead IV in the 2014 preseason in Cleveland.
  • Colts TE-Eric Ebron and DT-Caraun Reid played with Jean-Baptiste in Detroit in 2015.
  • George (2016), Michael (2015) and Turbin (2015) played with Ravens CB-Brandon Carr (2012-17) and Mayle (2015-16) in Dallas.
  • Indianapolis WR-Ryan Grant (2014-15), DE-Anthony Johnson (2015) and Michael (2015) spent time in Washington with Baltimore QB-Robert Griffin III (2012-15).
  • Colts WR-Seantavius Jones (2014-15) and DE-Chris McCain (2016) played with Jean-Baptiste (2014) and Snead IV (2015-17) in New Orleans.
  • Indianapolis S-Ronald Martin, Patullo and Hogan spent time with Baltimore WR-DeVier Posey with the New York Jets in 2015.
  • Posey also crossed paths with Colts DE-John Simon during the 2014 season with the Houston Texans.
  • Indianapolis Assistant Quarterbacks Coach Marcus Brady coached the Toronto Argonauts in 2016 while Posey played there.
  • George played for the New York Jets in 2014 when Ravens Offensive Coordinator Marty Mornhinweg coached there.
  • Colts WR-Kasen Williams and WR-James Wright both spent the 2017 season with Ravens DB-Kai Nacua and Griffin III in Cleveland.
  • Indianapolis Defensive Coordinator Matt Eberflus (2011-17), Sirianni (2009-2012), Patullo (2007-08) and Borgonzi (2011-13) coached for the Dallas Cowboys when Carr (2012-17) and Mayle (2015-16) played there.
  • Jean-Baptiste also played for the Detroit Lions when Indianapolis Defensive Backs/Safeties Coach Alan Williams coached there in 2015.
  • Indianapolis DE-Margus Hunt (2013-16) and Wright (2014-16) played with the Cincinnati Bengals when Baltimore Quarterbacks Coach James Urban (2011-17) coached there.
