Many fans watch the Colts every week imagining how it would feel to be standing on the sidelines. Breanna remembers watching a game last season and wondering the exact same thing. She knew becoming a Colts Cheerleader would fuse the best of both worlds for her. "Football and dance are a perfect combination...So I finally got up the nerve and gave it a try!" She says she will never forget how she felt after hearing her name called at auditions last spring.
Being a rookie is not always easy, but this Evansville, IN native is taking it all in stride. With a few games under her belt, Breanna says she looks to the veteran cheerleaders for guidance and advice. "[They] have taught me to always stay positive no matter how tough things get." She believes that being a part of the squad gives her more confidence and independence.
Breanna is a student at Ball State University where she is pursuing a degree in human resource management. Her passion for helping others shines through her work with Habitat for Humanity, Relay for Life and Race for the Cure. She also loves working with kids and knows they often look up to her. "I work everyday to live my life as an example for little eyes that might be watching!"
One of the best parts about being a Colts Cheerleader is appearing at events and bringing a little bit of the Colts directly to the fans. Her hometown has a large Colts following so she knows how important it is to reach out to them. "On game day the flags come out, the signs go up in the yards and most of the houses have a designated Colts room." Breanna enjoys interacting with the community and promoting the football team she loves every day!
