As a junior, he was a consensus First Team All-America selection after he started all 13 games and accumulated 85 tackles (57 solo), 21.0 tackles for loss, 12.5 sacks, two passes defensed and one forced fumble.
In 2011, he competed in 12 games (10 starts) and compiled 72 tackles (41 solo), 17.5 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, one pass defensed four forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. His tackles for loss ranked 10th in the nation.
As a true freshman, he saw action in 13 games and registered 40 tackles (18 solo), 6.5 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, one pass defensed, one interception and a team-high three forced fumbles.

PERSONAL:

Attended Rowlett (Texas) High School.
As a senior, he was an honorable mention all-state selection by The Associated Press after he recorded 66 tackles, 6.0 sacks and two safeties.
Majored in accounting at Texas A&M.
