Meet Ciarra: Cheerleader of the Week

Hey Colts Fans! My name is Ciarra, and I am so excited the season has finally started!

This is my 3rd season as a Colts Cheerleader.  I am so grateful for all of the opportunities that the Colts organization has bestowed upon me.  I am blessed to have done everything from traveling to Mexico,  going sky-diving for Riley Kids, to most importantly having 27 wonderful sisters, friends and teammates.

Last week was a busy week.  Tuesday's and Thursday's practices were jammed packed as we had a half-time performance with Junior Cheer, and several of our girls getting ready to leave for Mexico.  Saturday we had the Colts Back to Football 5K, where 3 of my beautifully talented teammates, Allie, Stefanie and Lauren sang the National Anthem.  We also had the Day of Dance with the Army National Guard.  Kristine and I had an appearance at the 6th Annual "Crew for Kids" Fundraiser at Crew Carwash in Indianapolis.  The Fundraiser was to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana.  We had a great time meeting the kids and employees of Big Brothers Big Sisters and working with the Crew Carwash Staff.  Later I arrived at Lucas Oil Stadium for field rehearsal, then it was time to get ready for game day appearances.  My squad (squad 3) went out to Touchdown Town, where we met fans, signed photo-cards and performed 2 of our routines.  We had great weather and a wonderful crowd!  After our appearance we circled up, prayed and made our way to the field for the game. We had a great first game, full of performances.  We had a blast dancing and doing the Nae Nae at half-time with our Colts Jr. Cheerleaders!  They were so cute!  Although we didn't have the outcome we were looking for, it was still great to be back in Lucas Oil Stadium to experience the 12th Man and Colts Nation!

You lived in Afghanistan for a year and a half. What was your favorite part about living there?
My favorite part about living in Afghanistan was the friendships I made.  I met people from all over the world and will never forget the memories or all that they taught me.  I truly enjoyed getting to know all of them.

Coming off of the first home, pre-season game, what did you love most about being back at Lucas Oil Stadium?
Being back at Lucas Oil Stadium, I loved the aura the most.  The cheering of the fans and running out of the tunnel, with the motorcycle, the pyrotechnics and the music.  It all makes such a fun and big experience.  I love it!

What do you do in your free time?
Honestly, between work and cheerleading I do not have much free time.  But if I get a moment, I catch up on sleep and TIVO, eat or spend my time with friends or family.

This football season you are looking forward to…
This football season I am looking forward to a trip to Superbowl 50!!! Go Colts!!!

One thing you can't live without is?
One thing I cannot live without, is and always will be Cheesecake!!!  But a recent and very close second is spicy chicken nuggets!!!  I know my teammates will agree!
