On Sunday, the Colts clinched a berth in the 2012 NFL Playoffs. Today, they are launching a “Light the Town Blue” campaign to give fans and local businesses the opportunity to show their support for the team as they prepare for the playoffs.

Local Events and Contests Planned by Team

INDIANAPOLIS – On Sunday, the Colts clinched a berth in the 2012 NFL Playoffs. Today, they are launching a "Light the Town Blue" campaign to give fans and local businesses the opportunity to show their support for the team as they prepare for the playoffs. The 2012 Colts playoffs are presented by Sprint, Huntington Bank and your Central Indiana Toyota Dealers

The campaign includes a variety of events and contests, including "Light the Town Blue" contest for individuals and local businesses, a special light display on the city's northside, a Community Day at the Children's Museum, a limited edition Playoff Poster, and a special Blue Friday at Circle Centre Mall.

Beginning today through the duration of the playoffs, the Colts will host a "Light the Town Blue" Contest for individuals and local businesses. To participate, companies are asked to show their Colts pride by placing a "good luck" message on outdoor signage or reader boards, decorating office windows, installing blue lighting or hosting a Colts "blue" day for their employees. Individuals can participate by decorating their homes in Colts blue, installing a blue light bulb outside their house, creating a sign or decorating their car.

Companies and individuals are then asked to load their photos to their Instagram account using the hashtag #LightTheTownBlue. The pictures will be loaded to www.colts.com, and one company will be randomly selected every day to receive a 3' x 5' Colts flag autographed by Head Coach Chuck Pagano while individuals have a chance to win an autographed Andrew Luck football. Winning pictures will be posted on www.colts.com prior to the Colts Wild Card game. Businesses and fans are being asked to leave their messages and decorations up for the duration of the Colts playoff run.

Colts Light Display: January 2-5, 2013

Beginning Wednesday, January 2, at 6 p.m. through January 5, at 11 p.m., the Colts will light up one of the Pyramids (3500 Depauw Boulevard, Indianapolis, IN), located near the intersection of I-465 and Michigan Rd. on Indianapolis' northside. The light display will appear every morning and night, beginning the evening of January 2 through January 5, from 5 a.m. until 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. until 11 p.m., respectively. Individuals interested in photographing the special light display may park in the lots adjacent to the Pyramids.


"Light the Town Blue" Community Day:  Wednesday, January 2, 2013

The Indianapolis Colts are teaming up with The Children's Museum of Indianapolis to host a special "Light the Town Blue" Community Day at the Museum on Wednesday, January 2. Event elements will include $2 off admission for attendees of all ages, free blue glow sticks and Colts playoff posters for the first 5,000 in attendance, special appearances by Colts Cheerleaders, Blue and players, and much more! In addition, the Colts will be providing free admission for nearly 200 pre-selected underserved youth from local community centers that day. All attendees are encouraged to wear blue.

Playoff Poster Pass-Outs: Friday, January 4, 2013

On Friday, January 4, the Colts will host morning drive-thru poster pass-outs at four (4) Meijer locations throughout Central Indiana. From 7-8 a.m. individuals can drive-thru and pick up a special edition Colts Playoff poster. The posters will also be available beginning at 9 a.m. at 50 Central Indiana Huntington Bank branches and 11 Central Indiana Toyota dealerships (see attached for complete list).

Blue Friday Pep Rally: Friday January 4, 2013

The Colts will host a playoff-themed Blue Friday Pep Rally at the Circle Centre Mall food court in Downtown Indianapolis on January 4. Beginning at 12:00 p.m. fans are encouraged to stop by to pick up a special edition Colts Playoff poster, listen to live music from Dave & Rae and meet Colts Alumnus Gary Brackett.

The Colts Friday Night radio show will be hosted live from Colts Grille in Downtown Indianapolis from 6-7 p.m. The special edition Colts Playoff poster will be available during this time and Colts Cheerleaders will be on hand to sign autographs
