Biography
CAREER TRANSACTIONS:
- Acquired by the Colts in a trade with the New York Jets on November 4, 2025.
- Selected by the Jets in the first round (fourth overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft.
2025 (JETS/COLTS):
- Started seven games with the Jets prior to getting traded and has tallied 20 tackles (15 solo) and six passes defensed.
2024 (JETS):
- Started all 15 games he appeared in and recorded 49 tackles (36 solo), 1.0 tackle for loss, 1.0 sack, nine passes defensed, and one interception.
2023 (JETS):
- Garnered First Team All-Pro recognition and Pro Bowl accolades after starting in 16 games and compiled 57 tackles (41 solo), 2.0 tackles for loss, 12 passes defensed, and one forced fumble. He became the first cornerback since the NFL merger to be named First Team All-Pro in each of his first two seasons.
2022 (JETS):
- Named the Defensive Rookie of the Year after he started all 17 games and accumulated 75 tackles (51 solo), 3.0 tackles for loss, a single-season career-high 20 passes defensed, and two interceptions. - Saw action in 37 games (28 starts) in three seasons at Cincinnati (2019-2021) and totaled 80 tackles (68 solo), 5.0 tackles for loss, 27 passes defensed, nine interceptions, and one forced fumble. In over 1,000 collegiate coverage snaps, he did not allow a touchdown.
- Started all 14 games in 2021 and was named a First Team All-America selection after he registered 40 tackles (28 solo), 4.5 tackles for loss, 3.0 sacks, seven passes defensed, and three interceptions. He also returned a blocked field goal for a touchdown. Earned AAC Defensive Player of the Year.
- As a sophomore, he earned Second Team All-America accolades after he appeared in nine games (eight starts) and compiled 28 tackles (16 solo), half a tackle for loss, half a sack, nine passes defensed, and three interceptions. He also was a First Team All-AAC selection.
- In 2019, he saw action in all 14 games (six starts) and accumulated 31 tackles (24 solo), 11 passes defensed, and three interceptions (two returned for touchdowns).
