• In 2018, he earned Honorable Mention All-Big Ten honors from the media after he appeared in all 12 games and tallied 41 tackles, (24 solo), 7.0 tackles for loss, 3.0 sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
• As a redshirt sophomore, he appeared in 12 games and recorded 15 tackles (six solo), 3.0 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, one pass defensed and one forced fumble.

• In 2013, he helped lead the team to a perfect 14-0 record while contributing 62 tackles, 26.0 tackles for loss, 4.0 sacks, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.
• Also competed in track and field.
• Has a twin brother, Carlos, who played with him at Nebraska and was a seventh-round draft pick by Pittsburgh in the 2020 NFL Draft.
