Biography

Waived by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on October 2, 2021.
Selected by the Buccaneers in the sixth round (194th overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft.

As a redshirt senior, he was named a Third Team All-Big Ten selection from the league's coaches after he started 11 games and tallied a single-season career-high 45 tackles (28 solo), 11.0 tackles for loss, 8.0 sacks and one pass defensed.
In 2018, he earned Honorable Mention All-Big Ten honors from the media after he appeared in all 12 games and tallied 41 tackles, (24 solo), 7.0 tackles for loss, 3.0 sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
As a redshirt sophomore, he appeared in 12 games and recorded 15 tackles (six solo), 3.0 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, one pass defensed and one forced fumble.
In 2016, he saw action in 12 games and registered five tackles (four solo) and 2.0 tackles for loss.
Redshirted the 2015 season.

PERSONAL:

Attended Blue Springs (Mo.) High School.
As a senior, he was named a first team all-state selection after he registered 60 tackles, 26.0 tackles for loss and 9.5 sacks.
In 2013, he helped lead the team to a perfect 14-0 record while contributing 62 tackles, 26.0 tackles for loss, 4.0 sacks, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.
Also competed in track and field.
Has a twin brother, Carlos, who played with him at Nebraska and was a seventh-round draft pick by Pittsburgh in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Majored in fisheries and wildlife.
