He started all 13 games in 2018 and was named First Team All-Big Ten after he compiled 102 tackles (47 solo), 8.5 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack, six passes defensed, one interception, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.
In 2017, he was named Third Team All-Big Ten after he started all 13 games and recorded 100 tackles (46 solo), 8.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, five passes defensed, three interceptions, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. He became the first sophomore in program history to eclipse 100 tackles in a single season since 2008.
He competed in six games in 2016 and posted 12 tackles (three solo) and 2.0 tackles for loss.
PERSONAL:
Attended Berea-Midpark High School in Berea, Ohio.
A two-way player as a running back and linebacker, he totaled 14 rushing touchdowns and led the team in tackles (89) as a senior.
Named First Team All-Ohio honors for Division I by the Associated Press after his senior campaign.
Also played basketball and baseball. He was named all-conference in both.
Majored in interdisciplinary studies in social science.
