Bruce is in his first season with the Colts as defensive quality control. He brings nine years of collegiate coaching experience to Indianapolis.
In 2025, Bruce served as the outside linebackers coach at UNLV. The Rebels defense ranked in the top five of the Mountain West in turnovers (24 – second), third down defense (32.9 percent – second) and sacks (30 – tied-third).
Prior to UNLV, Bruce spent the 2024 season at Kentucky and worked with the defensive line as a graduate assistant coach. He spent one season at SMU in the same role (2023). The Mustangs finished fourth in third down defense (28.1 percent) and third in sacks per game (3.36) in the nation.
From 2021-22, Bruce worked as a graduate assistant coach at Oregon State, focusing on the defensive line and outside linebackers. In 2022, the Beavers led the Pac-12 in rushing defense (108.2 yards allowed per game) and total defense (332.8 yards allowed per game), while leading the nation in red zone defense (66.7 percent).
In 2021, he spent time at Fresno State as a graduate assistant working with the defensive line.
Bruce served as a quality control coach with the defensive line at Wyoming in 2020.
From 2018-19, he served as the outside linebackers and defensive line coach at Whittier College.
The Los Angeles native began his coaching career in 2017 as a student assistant coach at his alma mater, Campbellsville.
Bruce played linebacker at Campbellsville (2015-16) and Golden West Community College (2014). He earned his bachelor's degree in fitness/wellness specialist from Campbellsville and his associate's degree from Golden West.
