Following the conclusion of the 2025 NFL Draft, general manager Chris Ballard, area scout Chad Henry, area scout Tyler Hughes, area scout Mike Lacy, assistant director of college scouting Jamie Moore and head coach Shane Steichen discussed the Colts picks.

Go inside the Indianapolis Colts Draft Room on Day 3 of the 2025 NFL Draft. The Colts selected Iowa State offensive tackle Jalen Travis, Kansas State running back DJ Giddens, Notre Dame quarterback Riley Leonard, Alabama defensive tackle Tim Smith and Wisconsin linebacker Hunter Wohler.

The 6-foot-2, 213 pound Wohler appeared in 43 games (25 starts) over four seasons at Wisconsin, totaling 229 tackles, 11.5 tackles for a loss, three interceptions, 16 passes defensed and two sacks from 2021-2024. Wohler in 2023 earned Third-Team All-Big Ten honors and set career highs with 120 tackles, 5.5 tackles for a loss, eight passes defensed and two interceptions over 13 starts.

The 6-foot-4, 306 pound Smith appeared in 64 games (32 starts) for Alabama from 2020-2024, totaling 124 tackles, 14.5 tackles for a loss, 6/5 sacks and one forced fumble for the Crimson Tide.

The 6-foot-3, 216 pound Leonard transferred to Notre Dame from Duke in 2024 and led the Irish to the College Football Playoff final. He completed 66.7 percent of his passes for 2,861 yards with 21 touchdowns and eight interceptions, and was also a physical threat as a running, rushing 184 times for 906 yards with 17 touchdowns.

The 6-foot, 212 pound Giddens appeared in 39 games (25 starts) with Kansas State and rushed for 3,087 yards on 517 carries (6.0 yards/attempt) with 23 rushing touchdowns; Giddens added 58 receptions for 679 yards with four receiving scores as well.

Travis possesses remarkable measurables: He's 6-foot-7 (95th percentile for tackles at the NFL Combine since 1999), weighs 339 pounds (95th percentile), has 34 7/8-inch arms (86th percentile), an 83.5-inch wingspan (85th percentile) and 10.5-inch hands (84th percentile). His 35-inch vertical jump was in the 97th percentile and his 112-inch broad jump was in the 90th percentile.

The 5-foot-10, 190 pound Walley appeared in 49 games (42 starts) over the last four seasons at Minnesota, totaling seven interceptions, 27 pass break-ups, three forced fumbles and 155 tackles.
