INDIANAPOLIS —The Indianapolis Colts on Sunday had some more moves to make, exactly one week before officially opening the 2018 regular season against the Cincinnati Bengals at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The Colts today claimed two players who were among those waived by their respective former teams during Saturday's final cutdown from 90-man preseason rosters to their 53-man regular season versions.

Those claimed by the Colts on Sunday were safety Corey Moore and defensive end Al-Quadin Muhammad.

In corresponding moves, Indianapolis waived defensive end Ryan Delaire and cornerback Lenzy Pipkins.

Here's a quick look at each of the Colts' newest players:

» Safety Corey Moore: Moore, 25, was originally signed by the Houston Texans as a college free agent out of Georgia in May 2015. Since that time, he's played in 31 career games with 11 starts — as well as three postseason games with one start — and has compiled 44 career tackles (one for a loss) with four passes defensed. Moore also has 16 career special teams stops. He also logged his first-career interception in the Texans' Wild Card round victory over the Oakland Raiders on Jan. 7, 2017. Moore played in 14 games with three starts for the Texans last season, tallying 21 tackles (one for a loss) and one pass defensed before being placed on injured reserve prior to the regular season finale against the Colts with a knee injury. Moore was able to return for training camp and collected five tackles for the Texans during the preseason.

» Defensive end Al-Quadin Muhammad: Muhammad, 23, was a sixth-round pick by the New Orleans Saints in the 2017 NFL Draft, and earned a spot on the team's 53-man roster after leading the NFL with four sacks in preseason play last year. He would play in four games for the Saints in 2017, finishing with one tackle. This preseason, he had three total tackles for the Saints. The 6-foot-4, 250-pound University of Miami product collected 62 tackles, 10.5 sacks and one forced fumble and pass defensed apiece in 25 games with seven starts during his college career.
