The end of the NFL Combine always represnts a sort of in-between time in the league calendar. Teams by Monday have wrapped up a grinder of a week at the NFL Combine, collecting mountains of information and data to inform their draft boards.
But as teams leave downtown Indianapolis, their focus squarely shifts toward NFL free agency, which begins a week from today on March 9.
Free agency often informs how these mock drafts look, so while certain players may have had impressive combine showings, their fit with a specific team can come down to what that team does next week. If a team spends plenty of cash to bring in a free agent at a certain position, maybe they don't need a guy there – or if they don't spend much at a certain position, perhaps that becomes a position of need.
It's all part of putting the puzzle pieces together ahead of April's NFL Draft. With that in mind, this week's mock draft roundup doesn't have much new stuff in it – but expect that to change in the coming weeks.
