To honor the families of service members who lost their lives in the line of duty, the Indianapolis Colts, along with Flags of Valor, welcomed Indiana "Gold Star Families" to the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center for a special visit. Families worked alongside the group to build wooden flags in memory of their fallen loved ones, with each family receiving a special surprise to commemorate the day.

To honor Indiana and America's military members during the NFL's Salute to Service month, the Colts hosted 60 active service members from the Air Force, Army, Marines and Navy for friendly exhibition games of flag football.

Rhodes was raised in a military household and has consistently honored, empowered and connected with active duty servicemembers, their families and veterans during his 10-year NFL career. 

Alec Pierce, Jaylon Jones and Luke Rhodes all have family and/or friends who have served, or are currently serving, in the United States Armed Forces.

Mock, who has performed as "Blue" for 19 seasons, is the Colts' 2024 Salute to Service Award nominee, an honor which is given annually by the NFL to players, coaches or staff members who exhibit a year-round commitment to honor, empower and connect our nation's service members, veterans and their families.

As a part of Salute to Service month, we invited Gold Star Families to come to the facility to honor their loved ones lost in service. They received a tour and then built wooden flags with Flags of Valor in their loved one's memory. And the end of they day they were surprised with framed jerseys with their fallen hero's last name. Their stories and love have impacted our lives more than we could ever imagine impacting theirs. Thank you for being so vulnerable and keeping their memory alive.
